Bodie, LLC builds and operates software that automates back-office work for business customers. Most of the information we handle belongs to a customer, and we process it on their instructions to provide the service they asked for.

What we handle

If you contact us through this site, we receive your name, email address, and your message, and we use them to reply.

When a customer engages us, they connect their own business systems so our software can do its job. Depending on the service, that can include email and text messages, documents, accounting records such as inventory and invoice data, and records about the customer's own clients and suppliers. We access only what the service requires, for as long as we provide it.

We also keep technical records about how our systems run, such as request volumes and error rates, to operate and improve the service.

How we use it

Only to provide, operate, support, and secure the services, to communicate with you, and to meet our legal and contractual obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share one customer's data with another customer, and we do not use it to build a product for anyone else. We use a small number of service providers, such as AI model, cloud hosting, and productivity platforms, which process data only to perform work for us under confidentiality obligations. Each customer agreement lists the providers used for that engagement.

Connected accounts

When a customer connects a third-party account, such as an email inbox or an accounting system, we access it only through that platform's authorized interfaces and only within the permissions granted. We use that data solely to provide the service to that customer, and we never show it to anyone other than that customer and their authorized users. Disconnecting the account ends our access to it.

Security and retention

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access limited to personnel who need it, and credentials held in secured server-side configuration rather than in application code. No system is completely secure. If we become aware of unauthorized access to customer data, we notify the affected customer without undue delay.

We keep customer data while we provide the service and for a limited period afterward so it can be retrieved, subject to legal and backup retention requirements.

Your information

To see, correct, or delete information we hold about you, contact us through this site and we will respond. If a business provided your information to us while using our services, that business controls it and we will refer your request to them.
